The Australian caravan industry is experiencing significant upheaval, with several manufacturers ceasing operations in recent years.
Notably, luxury caravan producer Zone RV entered voluntary administration, leaving hundreds of employees and customers in uncertainty.

Other companies, such as Infinity Motorhomes, Highline Caravans, and Tango Caravans, have also faced financial difficulties, leading to closures and substantial debts. Experts attribute these challenges to escalating manufacturing costs, supply chain disruptions, and an oversaturated market following a pandemic-induced boom.

Luke Chippindale of the Caravan Industry Association of Australia highlighted the impact of high manufacturing expenses and labour costs on the industry's stability. Additionally, the rapid expansion during the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an oversupply of caravans, further straining manufacturers.

Industry leaders suggest that consolidation and cost management are essential for the sector's future viability. Consumers are advised to conduct thorough research and exercise caution when making purchases, ensuring they engage with reputable manufacturers and dealers.
