The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has unveiled the comprehensive program for Marinas26, its flagship biennial conference and trade exhibition, scheduled for 24-27 May 2026 at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Under the theme 'Future Smart,' the conference aims to delve into how technology, sustainability, and innovation are transforming marinas into connected, efficient, and environmentally responsible hubs.

The event will commence with a Welcome Cocktail Party sponsored by Pelagic Risk Services, offering delegates an initial opportunity to network with peers, suppliers, and industry leaders. The conference will feature a lineup of global industry professionals, innovators, and thought leaders who will discuss trends, technologies, and opportunities impacting the marina and boatyard sector across the Asia-Pacific and beyond.

A highlight of the conference is the keynote address titled 'AI Future in Marinas & Boatyards' by renowned futurist Gihan Perera. He will explore how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing operations, customer experience, asset management, and workforce capability within the global marina sector, challenging operators to consider AI as a driver for strategic transformation.

For professionals in the marine finance sector, Marinas26 presents a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the evolving landscape of marina operations. Understanding the integration of advanced technologies and sustainable practices can inform investment decisions and strategic planning, ensuring alignment with industry advancements and consumer expectations.

As the marina industry continues to evolve, staying abreast of such developments is crucial for stakeholders aiming to capitalize on emerging opportunities and navigate the challenges of a rapidly changing environment.
