In 2025, Yamaha Motor Australia solidified its position as the nation's leading motorcycle and powersports brand, delivering over 25,500 new units to customers.
This achievement marks a 9% increase in sales, a notable feat considering the overall market experienced a 1.3% decline during the same period.

According to the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), Yamaha's success is attributed to its strong performance across various segments. The brand led in road motorcycles, despite a 7.4% decline in the category, and recorded significant growth in off-road motorcycles (up 14.4%), scooters (up 8.1%), and the off-highway vehicle (OHV) category, including ATVs and SSVs (up 19.2%).

Matthew Ferry, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Yamaha Motor Australia, credited this success to the dedication of the dealer network, customers, and staff. He emphasized that the collective effort and passion for the brand were instrumental in achieving the top sales position for the second consecutive year.

For consumers considering motorcycle purchases, Yamaha's diverse and innovative product lineup offers a range of options to suit various riding preferences. Additionally, Yamaha's strong market presence may provide favorable financing opportunities, as lenders often consider brand stability and market performance when determining loan terms.

In conclusion, Yamaha's leadership in the Australian motorcycle market during 2025 underscores the brand's resilience and ability to adapt to market challenges. Prospective buyers can look to Yamaha for reliable and diverse motorcycle options, supported by a robust dealer network and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
