Club Marine, Australia's leading boat insurance provider, has expanded its services to include land-based insurance coverage for race boats.
This initiative is the result of a new partnership with the Australian Offshore Powerboat Club (AOPC), aiming to address the specific needs of race boat owners.

Traditionally, securing insurance for race boats during storage and transit has been challenging, leaving owners vulnerable to potential losses. Recognizing this gap, Club Marine has developed a policy that offers protection against accidental loss or damage, theft, and malicious damage while the boat is on land and on its own trailer. Additionally, the policy covers up to $2,000 (including GST) for non-refundable powerboat race and tournament entry fees if a covered incident causes the policyholder to withdraw from an event.

AOPC Commodore Antony De Fina expressed appreciation for Club Marine's commitment to the racing community, noting that this new offering provides much-needed relief for race boat owners concerned about potential damages during transit or storage. The partnership not only delivers practical benefits to competitors but also strengthens the relationship between Club Marine and the Australian Offshore Superboat Championship.

Club Marine CEO Tim Wiles highlighted the company's dedication to supporting the sport and connecting with passionate boating enthusiasts across Australia. By addressing a previously unmet need, Club Marine reinforces its position as a comprehensive provider of marine insurance solutions tailored to the diverse requirements of the boating community.

This development comes at a time when the Australian Offshore Superboat Championship is experiencing significant growth, with record entries and increased public interest. The introduction of specialized insurance coverage is expected to further bolster participation and confidence among race boat owners, contributing to the sport's ongoing success.

For race boat owners seeking more information about this new insurance offering, Club Marine encourages direct inquiries to explore how the policy can be tailored to individual needs. This proactive approach to addressing the unique challenges faced by the racing community exemplifies Club Marine's commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions in the marine insurance sector.
