The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has announced the full program for Marinas26, its flagship biennial conference and trade exhibition, scheduled for 24-27 May 2026 at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Under the theme 'Future Smart,' Marinas26 aims to explore transformative trends and technologies poised to redefine the marina and boatyard sectors across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The conference will bring together an exceptional lineup of global industry professionals, innovators, and thought leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

The event will commence with a Welcome Cocktail Party sponsored by Pelagic Risk Services, hosted poolside at the Royal Pines Resort. This gathering marks the first of many opportunities for delegates to connect, exchange ideas, and engage with peers, suppliers, and industry leaders from across the marina, boatyard, and marine services sectors.

Day one of the conference will feature presentations on demographic, consumer, and behavioural trends influencing boating and waterfront lifestyle markets. Social researcher Geoff Brailey of McCrindle will provide insights into these trends, setting the stage for discussions on how the marina industry can adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

Subsequent sessions will delve into topics such as technological advancements, sustainable practices, and innovative business models. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, panel discussions, and networking events designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Marinas26 promises to be a pivotal event for marina owners, operators, designers, suppliers, and government representatives, offering valuable insights and strategies to navigate the future of the marina and boatyard industry.
