Genesis Australia has unveiled the refreshed GV60 electric SUV, marking a significant shift in the luxury electric vehicle market.
The updated model introduces a new entry-level variant, the Advanced RWD, priced at $88,300 plus on-road costs.
This represents a substantial reduction of approximately $15,000 compared to the previous base model, making luxury electric mobility more attainable for Australian consumers.

The Advanced RWD variant features a single-motor rear-wheel-drive configuration, differing from the earlier dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. This strategic adjustment not only lowers the entry price but also aligns the GV60 with the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles, potentially offering additional financial benefits to buyers.

Enhancements in the 2026 GV60 extend beyond pricing. The vehicle boasts a larger 84kWh battery, increasing the WLTP-certified range to 561km, up from 473km. Charging capabilities have also improved, with the ability to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes when connected to a compatible 350kW DC charger. These advancements address common concerns about electric vehicle range and charging times, providing greater convenience for drivers.

Design updates include a reimagined front grille, reprofiled bumpers, and new 19-inch alloy wheels, contributing to a modern and aerodynamic aesthetic. Inside, the GV60 offers a 27-inch combined instrumentation and infotainment screen, enhanced connectivity features, and a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, elevating the overall driving experience.

Genesis Australia's Head, Justin Douglass, emphasized the significance of these updates, stating that the GV60 combines advanced electric technology with a more accessible price point, broadening its appeal in the market.

For environmentally conscious consumers seeking luxury and performance without compromising on sustainability, the updated Genesis GV60 presents a compelling option. Prospective buyers are encouraged to explore financing options, including green car loans, to facilitate their transition to electric vehicle ownership.
