Club Marine, Australia's leading boat insurance provider underwritten by Allianz, has expanded its offerings to include specific coverage for race boats while they are on land.
This development comes through a new partnership with the Australian Offshore Powerboat Club (AOPC), aiming to address the unique insurance needs of race boat owners during storage and transit.

Historically, insuring race boats during non-operational periods has been challenging, leaving owners vulnerable to potential losses. Recognising this gap, Club Marine's new policy provides coverage for accidental loss or damage, theft, or malicious damage to race boats specifically while they are on land and on their own trailers. Additionally, policyholders are covered for up to $2,000 (including GST) for non-refundable powerboat race and tournament entry fees if a covered incident causes withdrawal from an event.

AOPC Commodore Antony De Fina expressed satisfaction with the partnership, stating, "We've had a fantastic relationship with Club Marine for a number of decades. In the past, they have been a sponsor of the Series; more recently, we've been looking at solutions to insure our race boats in storage and transit, and are pleased to confirm that Club Marine is able to now offer this cover."

Club Marine CEO Tim Wiles highlighted the company's commitment to supporting the sport and strengthening connections with passionate boating enthusiasts across Australia. This partnership reflects Club Marine's dedication to providing comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to the specific needs of the marine community.

For race boat owners, this new offering provides peace of mind, ensuring that their valuable assets are protected even when not in use. The collaboration between Club Marine and AOPC underscores the importance of addressing the evolving needs of the marine industry and its participants.
