The 2026 Caravan Industry Awards have once again spotlighted the leaders and innovators propelling Australia's caravan and camping sector forward.
Held during the Caravan Industry National Conference Gala Dinner on May 15, the awards celebrated outstanding achievements and dedication within the industry.

The prestigious Eric Hayman OAM Award for Excellence was awarded to the team at BDO South Australia. Their over 15 years of leadership and expertise have significantly advanced the sector's research, data, and analytical capabilities, setting new benchmarks for excellence.

Other notable recognitions included the Richard Davis OAM Award, presented to Bill Thiel for his technical expertise and unwavering commitment to safety and standards. The Ultimate Business Systems - RV Salesperson of the Year Award was bestowed upon Wayne Chevis of Market Direct Group - MDC Campers and Caravans, acknowledging his professionalism and dedication to best-practice customer service.

The Christie Barbecues Community Engagement Award went to the Caravan Trade & Industries Association of Queensland for its VanSafe Program. This initiative addresses critical road safety issues and strengthens trust between the caravan industry and the traveling public.

These awards underscore the dynamic and innovative spirit of Australia's caravan industry. They highlight the sector's commitment to excellence, safety, and community engagement, ensuring that the caravan and camping experience continues to thrive and evolve for Australians nationwide.
